At the MIX conference, created for developers, Microsoft announced a new version of Internet Explorer, and showed up Windows on ARM processor architecture.
Producer prepared a preliminary version (Platform Preview), which is available at Microsoft Test Drive, so that visitors can get acquainted with the features of Internet Explorer 10, such as support for CSS Gradients and CSS3 Flexible Box Layout.
During the presentation at MIX new browser has been showed in work. In this case, the computer on which it was installed, was running on Windows, as it was based on ARM architecture. More specifically, it was a single-chip NVIDIA Tegra 2 system, operating at 1 GHz.
The fact that Microsoft develops Windows for ARM became known recently. Currently, the developer is negotiating with other tablets manufacturers, trying to get them interested in their OS. It is not excluded that the first ARM tablet powered by Windows 8 will be released later this year.
